belgian waffles

Some Belgian Waffle recipes call for yeast and you have to wait for the dough to rise. Who has time for that in the morning?! I love this recipe because there is no yeast and they taste amazing.

2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup oil
2 cups milk

Stir dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Separate eggs. In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff. Mix together the egg yolks, milk and oil and stir slightly. Add to dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in beaten egg whites.

*Makes 8-10 waffles
